HUGE news, after a long hiatus, racquetball is back (bacquetball? We'll workshop is)! With fancy new headbands to remind us and everyone else which team we're on. I believe that our ongoing battle is what the scholars refer to as The REALLY Great Game!

Really super proud that my baby, "Resistant receptions: a postcolonial approach to reception of Greek tragedy," is in this wonderful volume, The Routledge Handbook of Classics, Colonialism, and Postcolonial Theory, edited by Katherine Blouin and Ben Akrigg! ❤❤❤

Got to see Momma Pistone this weekend! Went to afternoon tea TWICE, had some delicious food, went to the art fair, bought some books, went on several excellent hikes, and got to spend lots of quality time with my amazing mom! ❤❤❤

I have to show off these amazing gifts from my amazing student @autymn_wilde! A custom made mug with an article I published this year, a keychain that's a carry case for a d20 with a little quick release fastener for ease of access, and a little clay crab from when we read in Greek about Heracles fighting the Hydra and how the little crab (Karkinos, who will become the constellation Cancer) tried to help the Hydra defeat Heracles. But possibly my favorite part is the Xena-inspired art after Xena Warrior came up in class and I had a long talk with my class about how they need to go learn about this important show. I really do have the very best students!!
